Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills Names Diane L. Scott as Spa Director

and Donna Madonia-Forend as Director of Fitness and Membership

PLYMOUTH, Mass. – June 9, 2014 – Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills, opening June 29, 2014, has appointed Diane L. Scott as Director of Spa Mirbeau, and Donna Madonia-Forend as Director of Fitness and Membership. Scott brings 30 years of spa experience to Mirbeau. She will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the 14,000-square-foot wellness facility, along with implementing Spa Mirbeau’s life-balancing programming, while upholding operational performance and guest service. Madonia-Forend has more than 20 years of fitness and nutrition expertise, and will be charged with operating and staffing the fitness facility at Spa Mirbeau, and overseeing the Club Mirbeau membership program. She will focus on small group training, high intensity interval training and personal training programs, teaching classes and training guests and members.


A licensed esthetician, esthetician instructor, and massage therapist, Scott joins the Mirbeau team from Environ Cosmeceutics in Mashpee, Mass., where she served as Sales Executive and Educator. Prior, she held the positions of Lead Esthetic Instructor at the Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth, Mass, Spa Director at Spascape Day Spa in Scituate, Mass., and Esthetician and Massage Therapist at Oasis Day Spa in Weymouth, Mass.

A Plymouth, Mass. resident, Scott is a graduate of the New England Institute of Massage Therapy in Cambridge, Mass., and the Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in Boston, Mass. She is a Certified Oncology Esthetician, and holds an Aesthetician Instructors License, Aesthetician Type 6 License, and a Mass. State License of Massage Therapy.

Madonia-Forend’s knowledge and enthusiasm for fitness and nutrition has assisted clients of all ages and fitness levels in achieving their goals, from weight and body fat loss, to injury recovery, increased strength and self-confidence. With a professional background in the culinary arts and experience as a chef, she also offers insight on proper, well-balanced nutrition.

A nationally published fitness expert, Madonia-Forend is the owner and founder of Dynamic Training, a personal training studio and wellness center in Sagamore Beach, Mass., providing personal training and wellness services in private homes and select local gyms for 20 years. She has expertise in customized programs, heart rate monitoring, meal planning, body fat testing and fitness assessments and evaluations.

“Donna’s extensive knowledge of overall wellness, and experience in specialties from personal training and indoor cycling, to cardio kickboxing, boot camp, TRX, and more, will provide our guests and members with excellent service and innovative programming,” said General Manager, Natalie Ward.

A Plymouth Mass. resident, Madonia-Forend is a Certified AAAI/ISMA Personal Trainer (American Aerobic Association International/International Sports Medicine Association), AAAI/ISMA Certified Aqua Instructor, AAAI/ISMA Mat Pilates Certification, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, Nutrition Specialist, CPR/AED Certification, Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E Certification, Reebok Cycle Certification, and TRX Qualified. Madonia-Forend is a graduate from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I.
