May 10, 2013     Village Green, In The Media

PLYMOUTH —
Adding an ice cream shop to The Pinehills seems a little like the cherry on a sundae. Here’s all you need to know to enjoy The Pinehills’ latest business, which is sure to draw crowds this summer.

WHAT
Let’s Scream 4 Ice Cream opened Saturday, May 4, on The Village Green in The Pinehills. The shop offers 18 flavors of ice cream, low-fat frozen yogurt, sundaes, milk shakes, frappes, homemade buttery ice cream cones and sherbet made from 100 percent fruit juice. Some popular flavors include Mississippi Mud, Death by Chocolate, Caramel Turtle, Cake Batter, Strawberry Cheesecake, Coconut Rocky Road and many more, including a wide range of toppings. All the ice cream is made from milk and cream from local dairy farm that do not use hormones. All products will be available in cups as well as the homemade cones, which are made daily at the shop from natural ingredients. The cones are made with the owner’s recipe and are a cross between a waffle and a sugar cone, and will also be available dipped in chocolate.

WHO
Let’s Scream 4 Ice Cream is co-owned and operated by Greg and Anthony Apicella, of Plymouth. A former manager for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, Anthony decided to pursue his passion for the culinary arts and, more specifically, ice cream. His 7-year-old son, Austin, approved. Greg’s first job, when he was 15, was in an ice cream shop. He worked in real estate for years but shared Anthony’s dream of someday opening his own ice cream shop.
“Coming from a family that has always had restaurant business ties, we are thrilled to be opening up Let’s Scream 4 Ice Cream at The Pinehills,” Anthony said. “My family and I love The Pinehills and the Plymouth community and are excited to be a part of it. The goal of Let’s Scream 4 Ice Cream is to offer affordable and natural ice cream and dairy products, perfect for enjoying a great day on The Pinehills’ Village Green.”
