Welcome to Forest Edge; we were the first and still the best!
Forest Edge was the first neighborhood developed in The Pinehills. Our residents began arriving in the summer of 2001, as new pilgrims to Plymouth!
We felt the excitement of starting new chapters in our lives and being part of the new vision that the Green Company had for this new concept for living among the pines. It was up to us to build the foundation and reputation for the new community in Plymouth. Many of us came from different states for various reasons to live here, yet we had a common goal, which was to make this community a great place to live.
When Forest Edge was completed, we had 43 homes, consisting of attached townhouses and single homes with our own lovely neighborhood pool, which is a unique addition to our amenities. Residents have elected a Board of Directors of five positions, who are responsible for the fiscal and general needs and appearance of our neighborhood. They have done a commendable job.
Since we were the first neighborhood, there have been many changes throughout the 24 years; people have left, as can be expected; however, there are some of us "pilgrims" still here, who can say to new neighbors, "Welcome to Forest Edge; we were the first and still the best."
