When I was stuck in Boston after 9/11, I stopped by The Pinehills on my way to visit friends on The Cape. From that point in time, I thought I would like to live here, eventually.

It was in 2000 that I heard about The Pinehills through some type of advertisement. I was not in the market at that time, but I had an interest in moving back to Massachusetts. On 9/11 at 9 AM I was on a plane over New York City heading to Boston. When we landed, Logan Airport was shut down, and no one knew why. When the air traffic system was shut down, I was stuck in Boston for many days. During that time I visited my friends on The Cape (Falmouth, MA). On the way there, I took the opportunity to stop by The Pinehills and look around. From that point in time, I thought I would like to live here, eventually.

After moving back to the Boston area in 2006, my wife and I built a house in Reading, MA. (The Pinehills was too far away from my job in Lynn, MA.) After living there for seven years, we sold the house and moved to the Seaport District in Boston. After two years there, I convinced my wife to build a house on a golf course in The Pinehills. And we moved forward. We moved into our MacKenzie home in 2017, custom-built for us.
