Wednesday Unwind: The Enlightenment of Binky & The Making of The Pinehills

A Labor Of Love

September 09, 2020     20 Years of Stories, Wednesday Unwind

The Pinehills is a labor of love for everyone involved, and it really does take a village to bring this dream to reality.

Construction Manager, Ken Moore, tells the story of Binky, a bulldozer operator, whose job it was to move the earth to create the Village Green as you know it today. At first he wasn't sure what Ken was asking him to do, but in his aha moment, Binky realized he needed to “put it like God made it.”

The Pinehills is what it is today because of hard work by Ken, Binky, and others too numerous to name here. To see the pride in this place, when the people who have had a hand in creating it bring family and friends for a visit, is awesome. This story is a tribute to all of them this Labor Day.
